Aim and objectives of the project:
The aim of this project is to evaluate the actual situation with regard to the public administration in general and different sectors of public services in particular in the EU member states and candidate countries. A particular unit of analysis will be the way in which the public administration is coping with the trends towards New Public Management as these have been promoted in the course of the last decades. Finally, the project will assess whether changes in the public service introduced by new public management were a subject in social dialogue.
